My brothers mother in law Lou, is a great southern cook. I've made several of her recipes throughout the years.
The latest is her Cowboy Beans.
We all love them.
Easy potluck and a crowd pleaser.
One pound ground round.
One green pepper
2 large cans Bushes Beans
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp yellow mustard
1 tbsp minced garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
Add beans to your LINED crockpot.
Add to beans.
Sauté meat until brown.
Add to beans and gently stir.
Salt and pepper. Place lid on top. Set on low.
Cook for at least a few hours. These get better everyday.
Make some cornbread. Mmmm mmmmm!!
